With lots of room to play, fun games, and plenty of attention, we provide a fulfilling day for your dog while you’re busy or away. So what do pets and their parents love about daycare at A Closer Bond?

  • We’ve been providing expert care since 1994
  • All of our staff members are certified in safe group play by PackPro
  • We have 5 spacious play yards, some with dog-specific turf
  • Small dogs and puppies have their own play area
  • Dogs love to splash in our bone and paw-shaped kiddie pools

Our Canine Enrichment Center

Safety and fun are our top priorities, which is why we separate dog daycare guests based on size, temperament, and play style. However, we believe that dogs need more than just social interaction for the most fulfilling day. Our Canine Enrichment Center is a standout feature that sets us apart, providing an invaluable opportunity for dogs to break away from the pack and engage in focused, one-on-one time with our trained staff.

Many dogs can become overstimulated or overly focused on social interactions, especially at home during walks or in busy environments. Our Enrichment Center addresses this by offering a calm, controlled space filled with activities that meet the five pillars of enrichment: Nutritional, Sensory, Intellectual, Social, and Physical. In our Enrichment Center, your dog will explore a carefully curated collection of scents, textures, and objects that change weekly to keep things exciting. These activities are designed to challenge their senses and intellect, fostering a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

This individual attention not only stimulates your dog mentally but also helps calm them, fostering a stronger bond between your pup and our staff. Every interaction is an opportunity for your dog to feel seen, understood, and supported.

Dog Daycare FAQ

What vaccinations are required for daycare?
To keep our daycare guests safe and healthy, we require all dogs be up to date on vaccinations for rabies and distemper combo.
Do you require reservations for daycare?

Safety is most important to us, and keeping the best staffing is a big part of this. We keep our group sizes down and supervision top notch. Therefore, we do require reservations so we can plan accordingly.

How does daycare benefit dogs?
Daycare is especially designed to benefit dogs by providing them a safe and secure outlet to have fun, exercise, and socialize. Our daycare program keeps your pet’s mind and body active, exercises their social skills, and channels their energy in healthy ways. It’s proven to reduce challenging behaviors born out of loneliness and boredom, such as excessive barking, destructive chewing, digging, and more.
My dog doesn’t like to play with other dogs, would they still enjoy daycare?
No problem! Some dogs, just like some people, are not comfortable in a crowd. Your dog will spend time in their own space and will get to play outside with one of our staff members during their stay. Our activities are tailored to fit your dog's needs.
Can I come in for a tour?
Yes, we’d love for you to see our resort. Please visit us during our operating hours to go on a guided tour with a knowledgeable staff member.
Do you require a group play evaluation?
We keep our daycare program as safe as possible by ensuring our guests are comfortable with a social play environment. Your dog’s first day is an evaluation day where we get to observe your pet’s preferred play styles and determine if they’re a good fit for the group. If your pup seems to prefer playing with the staff, we have a custom play program just for dogs like him/her.
What will my dog be doing at daycare?
The short answer is—whatever makes them happy! We provide a safe place, fun toys, and room to roam, and the dogs choose what to do next. Whether it’s romp across the yard, explore the playground, splash in the pool or nap in the sun, there’s plenty of fun to be had at A Closer Bond. Plus, manners practice is built into our daycare experience! Throughout the day our team members will encourage and reinforce good behaviors such as sitting at gates, not jumping, sitting, recall, and others.
When can I drop off and pick up my pet?

We ask you please drop off your pet by 9am and pick them up by 6:30pm.
